Patrick had professional experience in investment management prior to attending IR/PS. His interests lie in poverty reduction and increasing access to education by way of economic policies that foster income generation and responsible, transparent social policies that create opportunities where they are most needed. Patrick has studied and worked in the United States, Spain, Mexico, and New Zealand. He remains active on campus as co-director of the Latin America Student Organization, which hosts one of IR/PS’s largest cultural events, and as a competitor on the UC San Diego club ski and snowboard team. After graduation, Patrick plans to pursue a career in macroeconomic policymaking, economic development consulting, or international trade promotion. Last summer, Patrick worked for the US Commercial Service at the embassy in Mexico City. Patrick graduated magna cum laude from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona.
