Nicola focuses on the role played by corporations in sustainable development and how microfinance may lead to poverty alleviation. During her summer internship she created tools to effectively measure and evaluate volunteer programs in Latin America. At IR/PS she is a teaching assistant for managerial economics and participates in a community development project in a rural fishing village in Mexico. Her work there explores the challenges of sustainable development, the lessons of which she applies to Africa and Southeast Asia.
