Thuba Nguyen

Operations Director

Thuba is a master’s candidate at IR/PS focusing on public policy with an emphasis in Southeast Asia.  Before attending UC San Diego, Thuba worked as a quality assurance engineer at an information technology consulting firm based in San Diego.  She gained valuable experience in the field of consulting while working for projects budgeted at millions of dollars.  Thuba also worked for the Arizona state legislature researching and analyzing education policies related to English Language Learners and public schools regulated by the No Child Left Behind Act.

Michael Saunders

Marketing Director

Michael is a master’s candidate at IR/PS focusing on International Economics with a regional emphasis on China.  Before attending IR/PS, Michael lived in Beijing, China for two years, working as an English teacher at a local primary school and as a writer and editor for the Global Environmental Institute of Beijing.  Michael has also spent time in the private sector, working as the photography manager for a newly launched internet company in La Jolla.  He is a graduate of Colgate University, where he received his B.A. in International Relations and Chinese.
       

Cameron McKenzie

Finance Director

Cameron is a Masters candidate at IR/PS with a focus on International Management and Latin America. Prior to becoming part of the IR/PS community, Cameron worked in finance for the Vanguard Group advising on mutual fund investments. He then became involved in business development for Aries Technology, an e-Learning company based in Tempe, Arizona. Cameron received his B.A. in International Affairs from Northern Arizona University in 2005, graduating magna cum laude.

SCC draws upon the extensive experience of its board when executing projects. Our board is made up of consulting professionals, IR/PS professors and staff, and local nonprofit leaders.
