Development Club
The Development Club is a pre-professional organization which brings together students who are interested in international development. The club caters to the intersts of these students by bringing in speakers, coordinating educational and entertaining activities and collaborating with other clubs throughout IR/PS. Additionally, the club works to engage the larger student population by offering large-scale projects that will foment group invovlement in the San Diego community.

Book Club - Students are invited to participate in quartely book clubs. Relevent and interesting novels are selected by group members and participants are asked to read the book over a school break. Discussion is convened so students can exchange opinions, ideas and further thoughts about the reading.

Speaker Series - Speakers are invited to present a variety of topics to group members and the larger IR/PS audience. Past speakers have included Richard Kiy of the International Community Foundation and Jean Fort of Women's Empowerment.

Movie Screening- Movies on topics of interest to group members are screened at IR/PS. Food, drink and discussion follow.
