Our one-of-a-kind Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Master of International Affairs (BA/MIA) program is a consecutive five-year program offered by IR/PS and the UC San Diego undergraduate International Studies Program (ISP). This program is open only to UC San Diego undergraduates.

Master of Pacific International Affairs (MPIA)

Our Master of Pacific International Affairs (MPIA) is a two-year, full time professional degree program. Students in the program specialize in business, economics and policy in the Pacific region. Graduates assume senior policy positions in the public and nonprofit sectors as well as in non-governmental organizations and private companies.

Master of Advanced Studies in International Affairs (MAS-IA)

Our executive Master of Advanced Studies in International Affairs (MAS-IA) program gives professionals advanced training in the field of international affairs with a focus on Asia and the Americas. The program is for professionals with more than five years of relevant work experience and can be conducted full-time in nine months or part-time in eighteen months. The part-time program is for U.S. citizens and permanent residents with a flexible work schedule.
