“Nokia is a great place to work . . . my boss is smart, engaging and truly committed to my professional development. I've been focusing on strategizing Nokia's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plan for Latin America and have spent much of my time sifting through data to establish criteria for selecting new countries to invest CSR money. I have learned quite a bit about how the business side of CSR works, which complements my previous foundation experience. Right now I am working on a proposal for a technology health program. This is a pilot program which will use Nokia technology to improve the data collection process in a remote community in Ecuador. I will get to attend the launch event in August in Quito and will write a business case about this pilot in the fall. In terms of IR/PS skills that I am using . . . there are quite a few! Particularly finance, accounting and economics."
