Track Features
• Provides an option to concentrate studies more intensively on a single region or country.
• Combines rigorous MPIA training in economics and politics with in-depth work on a region such as Latin America, Southeast Asia, China, Korea, or Japan.

The Country and Regional Studies Career Track is led by Takeo Hoshi.
Required Courses
The Country and Regional Studies Career Track requires four country or region-focused courses and two analytic courses in addition to the required regional core.
Advanced language proficiency is also required.
Related Student Groups
Each regional concentration has an affiliated student group, such as the Latin America Student Organization (LASO) or China Focus.
Global Employers for Country and Regional Studies Graduates
Graduates are qualified for employment in a wide range of professional positions: government, multilateral organizations such as the United Nations, consulting firms, public interest organizations, and nonprofit research institutes.
