Takeo Hoshi joins UnionBanCal board

A renowned economist and expert on the Japanese financial system, monetary policy and corporate governance has joined the board of directors of UnionBanCal Corp., the parent of Union Bank N.A.
Takeo Hoshi, an MIT-trained economist, also teaches at the University of California, San Diego. He is currently the Pacific Economic Cooperation professor at the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies.
