Admiral Bobby R. Inman will be the keynote speaker at a special Dean’s Roundtable dinner event in conjunction with The American Assembly’s Next Generation Project: West Coast Assembly. 

Inman has served a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy. He was director of the National Security Agency and deputy director of Central Intelligence. He was named an adjunct professor at The University of Texas at Austin in 1987 and was appointed to the Lyndon B. Johnson Centennial Chair in National Policy in 2001. In 2005, he was interim dean of the LBJ School.

The West Coast Assembly, the second of six meetings in The American Assembly's ambitious multi-year Next Generation Project, will take place at the University of California, San Diego on February 22-24, 2007. The Assembly is co-sponsored with the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies, led by Dean Peter F. Cowhey.
