Meet The Team
Richard Feinberg, Ph.D.Professor Feinberg has been with IR/PS since 1996. He is an authority on U.S. foreign policy, multilateral institutions (IMF, World Bank, NAFTA) and summitry (APEC, Summitry in the Americas, G-8). He is an expert on trade and investment, globalization, democratization, and non-governmental organizations. He provides oversight to the program, events, and international marketing, and acts as a liaison with the IR/PS faculty. |

Darla Wilson, Ph.D.Darla has worked in higher education for 20 years, with eight years of focus in international education. Her international experience has taken her to every major city in Asia, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. Over the span of twelve years she served as a director of admissions, director of marketing communications, and director of student activities. Darla began her career as a professor and women’s basketball coach at UCSB. Darla holds a Ph.D. in leadership and organizational behavior. Darla oversees program management and marketing. |

Grace OsborneGrace previosuly served as a Program Coordinator to GLI after four years in administration at UC San Diego’s School of Medicine. She also worked in Lisbon, Portugal in public relations for a Portuguese television network as liaison to foreign governments and businesses. She is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and French and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Cultural Anthropology from the University of San Diego. Grace oversees day-to-day operations and is responsible for short-term training programs at GLI. |

Melissa La BouffMelissa joined the GLI team after serving two years as the Events Coordinator for the Institute for International, Comparative, and Area Studies (IICAS) where she coordinated all the logistics for complex programs such as conferences, workshops, lectures, seminars, and luncheons. Prior to working at the IICAS, Melissa served as the Assistant to the Dean of Student Affairs at Sixth College. She graduated from Eleanor Roosevelt College (ERC) at UC San Diego and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Public Law, with dual minors in French Literature and Film Studies. Melissa collaborates in the day-to-day operations of GLI. |

Renate MuenichRenate received her master’s degree from IR/PS while serving as a GLI intern. She was also the VP of the Korean student organization (Mannam) and is proficient in Korean, Japanese, and German. Prior to her employment with GLI, Ms. Muenich worked four years for Kaplan International. She began her employment with Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions in New York as an International Student Advisor and Designated School Official (DSO), overseeing immigration records and student status for over 300 students. After moving to San Diego, Renate was appointed Center Operations Manager for Kaplan. Renate collaborates in the day-to-day operations of GLI. |
