Center on Pacific Economies (CPE)

The CPE has launched its new web site. The site features research and publications that can be searched by faculty, speciality, topic, or region. Additionally you can learn more about the Center and the Pacific Leadership Fellow Program.

 

Center for U.S. - Mexican Studies

The mission of the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies, UCSD is to be the premier institute for social science research on Mexico and U.S.-Mexican relations. The Center supports research relevant to current policy issues in Mexico and to the binational relationship in close collaboration with social scientists at Mexican institutions. Global Information Industry Center (GIIC)

GIIC is an independent academic research program studying global information issues faced by all segments of the information industry. GIIC evolved from the School’s Information Storage Industry Center (ISIC), established in 1998 through a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation of New York. ISIC’s focus has been gradually expanding into the study of information. In 2008 ISIC was reestablished as the Global Information Industry Center.

 

Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation (IGCC)

IGCC is committed to educating the next generation of international problem-solvers and peace-makers through its research and teaching activities. The institute is one of the largest sources of dissertation and fellowship support for international studies students in the United States.

 

Korea Pacific Program (KPP)

The Korea-Pacific Program, founded in 1989 by Professor Lawrence Krause (Emeritus), is currently directed by  Stephan Haggard, Krause Professor of Korea-Pacific Studies. The K-PP promotes greater understanding of contemporary Korea, both North and South, including international relations, politics, public policy, and business environment.

Under a new initiative with the Academy of Korean Studies, the K-PP also offers visiting fellowships and postdocs on the political economy of Korea.
