Biography
Naito has spent much of his professional career doing theoretical research on trade policy and economic growth. Some of his articles have recently been published in the Journal of Public Economics, Journal of International Economics, and the Journal of Development Economics.
Naito currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology’s Department of Social Engineering, where he has taught since 2000.
During his residence at UC San Diego, Naito will collaborate with IR/PS faculty member Takeo Hoshi. He will conduct research on the role and effect of foreign aid in spurring economic growth.
