Dean's Fellow, 2009-2010

Natasha is concentrating her studies on economic development in transition economies in Southeast Asia and corporate strategies for sustainable development. Originally from Britain and Germany, she earned her B.A. at Duke University in 2003. With five years of international experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, she has had the opportunity to work in Asia, Europe, and America. She has worked on international trade policy at a think-tank in Switzerland, private sector development projects in Vietnam, and education and infrastructure development projects in India, Nepal, and the U.S.

At IR/PS, Natasha has taken the opportunity to work on quantitative research and analysis with Professor Edmund Malesky on US-AID’s Vietnam Provincial Competitiveness Initiative and the World Bank/The Asia Foundation Cambodian Business Environment Scorecard, which rank provinces by their economic governance and investment environment for private firms.

She is engaged in the community as Editor in Chief of the Journal of International Policy Solutions (JIPS), as Co-President of South East Asia Link (SEAL), and as a member of the Net Impact Board co-directing the new Board Fellows program at UC San Diego.
