Development Club

The Development Club is a pre-professional organization for students interested in international development. The club caters to the interests of the students by bringing in speakers, coordinating educational and entertaining activities, and collaborating with other IR/PS clubs. The club also works to engage the larger student population by offering large-scale projects that will foment group invovlement in the San Diego community.
Activities
International Development Career Panels -IR/PS alumni and others currently working in development-related careers will talk about their experiences and finding jobs in government or non-governmental sectors.

Community Engagement Activities -
Students will have the opportunity to learn more about local nonprofit organizations through service days.Social -
We are planning social events to combine international development outreach with fun activities.Community Consultants Program -
a student-run consulting group that provides services exclusively to the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in San Diego. CCP provides IR/PS students with opportunities to apply the analytical skills they learn in the classroom to real-world scenarios to make a difference in the San Diego community.
