Employing IR/PS Graduates



IR/PS is the only graduate school of international relations in the world-renowned University of California system. The Master of Pacific International Affairs (MPIA) two-year professional degree program is based upon a rigorous, interdisciplinary curriculum.

  The program goes beyond traditional international affairs or business management to specialize in the commerce, politics, economics, and public policies of the Asia-Pacific region including Latin America. 

IR/PS graduates have successful careers in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.


Employing IR/PS graduates - We invite you to register with our online system IRPSCAREERS, or contact Career Services staff to post an internship/job, share your knowledge on a career panel, or conduct on-campus interviews. 

IR/PS career fairs – IR/PS participates in annual career fairs and consortiums. The UCIBC Career Fair on April 10th, 2009 connects international students from multiple UC graduate programs with domestic and international employers. The annual Hire San Diego Career Fair connects students from several San Diego universities with local employers and will take place October 16, 2009.
