February 2006

John Nylin served as the economic and commercial officer to the U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana until June 2005 and is currently working in Washington, D.C. at the State Department. He will embark on a three-year assignment at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo beginning in 2007. John lives with his wife Mariko and daughter Saya, who was born on February 12, 2005.

July 2005

Jeff McKinney decided to pursue his interest in health care and just started an accelerated (13.5 months) BS in Nursing at Johns Hopkins University. After he gets his RN license, he plans to start work at the hospital and continue studying to get his Masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Ultimately, he hopes to do global HIV/AIDS nursing so he can combine nursing with his passion for international work. If you're ever in the Baltimore/DC/Philly area, be sure to give him a shout!

June 2005

Julie Garfinkle Manevitz is currently taking a break from work in anticipation of her second baby, which is due in August. She already has a daughter, Leah, and lives in New Jersey.

May 2005

Vincent (Zheng) Hu is a business development adviser working for the Worldwide Services division at Federal Express. As a leader in global logistics and transportation services, FedEx has rapidly expanded into Asia, especially into Mainland China. This year alone his team secured multi-million dollar deals with three large global accounts in the APAC region.

December 2004

Lijuan Stahl is working at Science Applications International Corporation for the Joint Network Management System.

November 2004

Jerick Aguilar recently moved to Tunisia to finish his Ph.D. and to learn French.

Marcy Morrison had her second son, Logan, in March 2004. Her first son, Cameron, turned three in June.
