Organization of the Board of Directors
In its entirety, the board consists of nine At-Large Director positions and four executive positions; President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. All director positions are two-year terms, with approximately one-half of the board elected in a given year. The members of the board are elected by the alumni and meet throughout the year to establish goals and objectives for the IR/PS Alumni Association in collaboration with the Dean. Meetings are held every two months with directors joining either in-person or by conference call. Board committees focus on particular programs, and ad hoc work groups are formed when deemed appropriate. The board assists the staff in the implementation of programs for more than 1,600 alumni worldwide annually.
