Organization of the Board
The IR/PS Alumni Association is pleased to announce a reorganization of its Board. In order to facilitate the participation of alumni throughout the world and promote continuity of the Board's activities, three important changes have been made.
First, Regional Director positions, representing both domestic and international locations with significant alumni presence, will be appointed to the Board. Second, six At-Large Directors, serving a two-year term, will be elected by all alumni. Third, the position of President will be a one-year term. The President will be joined by an Incoming President and Outgoing President. The newly-created IR/PS Alumni Association Charter provides a detailed description of this reorganization.
The members of the board are elected by the alumni and meet throughout the year to establish goals and objectives for the IR/PS Alumni Association in collaboration with the Dean. Meetings are held every two months with directors joining either in-person or by conference call. Board committees focus on particular programs, and ad hoc work groups are formed when deemed appropriate. The board assists the staff in the implementation of programs for more than 1,700 alumni worldwide annually.
