Admissions

Congratulations on taking the first steps toward study at IR/PS and career advancement in international relations. Admission to IR/PS is competitive and the committee reviews all parts of your application with no one item being given most weight. We consider applicants holistically by evaluating your academic potential, communication and language skills, professional background, and international experiences. You will be considered for admission based on the overall strength of your application and qualifications. Each committee member may interpret these characteristics differently, depending on their perspective.

At IR/PS, you will be in a diverse class with people from a variety of backgrounds. Students receive a high level of personal attention throughout their association with IR/PS and continuing as successful alumni. These graduates enjoy a reputation internationally for being experts in Asia and Latin America in a variety of industries.
