His primary research interests include corporate investment and governance in business group, financing of consumption and investment and relationship between geography and economic growth. Professor Samphantharak can provide commentary about Thai economy, business groups in East Asia and formal and informal financial institution in developing village economies. Samphantharak's recent papers include "Internal Capital Markets in Business Groups" and "Corporate Finance and Development Economics: an Integration."
